In the following pages and posts, you will find information for new webmasters, otherwise known as “Newbies”, for those who would like to become webmasters: “Wanna-Be’s”, for those who would be webmasters if they only got started: “Wood-Be’s”, and even for the “Old Pros” who have been there and done that, but still maybe need a bit of new information now and then.
Our first objective is to get the information for the Newbies, Wanna-Be’s and Wood-Be’s up and running. Then we will get into more detailed information and resources for everybody – the whole group! Including recommended ways to monetise your website and otherwise earn money on the Internet!
There have been many websites launched in the past six months or so about our subject. Some of them cost many thousands of Dollars or Euros or Pounds or whatever to make and publish and distribute. A quick question – if it cost them that much, do you think they’re trying to help you or repay their costs? Much of what you will find here is based on our own experience, but we are not arrogant enough to assert that there is nothing out there that we have not seen or not done. In this regard, we welcome comments. We WILL edit all comments, or at least look them over before we publish them. Why? Just to make sure that they are reasonable for our family audience, and to eliminate blatent advertising. Comments are allowed to contain one advertising or commercial link only in the signature block, which we will also review for “reasonability”. Keep it short and concise, also. I realise that you may think it’s unfair that we are free place as many commercial links in our posts as we want, but these will be there for two reasons: (1) there are some vendors who are unique, or who stand head-and-shoulders above their competition, at least in our opinion, and we will give them our support, and (2) we also need to make a little money now and then (and not all our links are monetised). Remember, whether we make money on the links or not, your price for the products and/or services you acquire will not change (but our link might be less expensive?).
I apologise to everybody – on both sides of the Atlantic – for my English. I grew up in North America, but I’ve been outside the US long enough that my spelling and wordage is often Brit rather than ‘Merican. And I’m not going to try to change it now!
In any case, we hope you enjoy our website! We will continue to update it and add new sections as we go along, so check back often – and when you come back, click on F5 in IE or whatever you need to do in your browser to reload the page. Otherwise you may miss something new on the existing pages!
